UK forecast for the next 5 days

Rain pushing east overnight with clearer and fresher conditions following.

This Evening and Tonight:

A dry end to the day for many, but cloud and outbreaks of rain will push continue to push southeastwards through the night and reach the southeast by dawn. This rain will be followed by cooler conditions and coastal showers.

Saturday:

Cloud and occasional rain across southeast England slowly clearing to brighter conditions. Elsewhere, largely dry with some sunshine, before further rain and strong winds arrive into western areas by afternoon.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Nov 2014 to Friday 14 Nov 2014:

Mainly dry on Wednesday and Thursday with just a few showers in the northeast at first. There will be a marked fall in temperature during the Wednesday evening with a sharp frost likely overnight, especially in the north. Later on Thursday, it will turn wet and windy in the west with some heavy rain possible for a time, and strong to gale force winds, and perhaps reaching severe gale force locally in the far northwest. Thereafter, a return to more unsettled and windy weather from the west looks the most likely scenario, with spells of rain pushing northeastwards across the country interspersed by brighter, showery and colder days. Some particularly wet and windy weather is a possibility at times. Temperatures are likely to return to nearer normal for November.

UK Outlook for Saturday 15 Nov 2014 to Saturday 29 Nov 2014:

During this period, the generally west or southwesterly flow is likely to bring spells of wet and windy weather, especially to northern and western parts of the UK. However, southern and eastern areas may see some drier and settled conditions increasing the likelihood of some sunshine, but also the risk of frost, mist and fog overnight, the latter of which could be slow to clear. Spells of unsettled weather are still likely across the south and east though. Daytime temperatures may well be near normal, although it will feel colder during any wet and windy spells.
