A dry end to the day for many, but rain in the northwest will spread southeastwards overnight, with clearer, cooler conditions following into northern parts by dawn. Rather windy for a time along the coasts. Minimum Temperature 8C.

Saturday:

Early cloud and rain will clear to leave a dry day with some sunshine. However, further occasionally heavy rain and strong winds will return to western parts by the evening. Maximum Temperature 14C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Bright and showery conditions will prevail through the period and it will become progressively cooler, with frost increasingly likely by night. Showers tending to ease through Tuesday. Windy until Monday.

Cloud and occasional rain across southeast England slowly clearing to brighter conditions. Elsewhere, largely dry with some sunshine, before further rain and strong winds arrive into western areas by afternoon.

Rain gradually clearing the southeast on Sunday, with brighter and showery weather prevailing thereafter. Turning progressively cooler with overnight frosts becoming increasingly likely, especially across northern parts. Windy at times.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Nov 2014 to Friday 14 Nov 2014:

Mainly dry on Wednesday and Thursday with just a few showers in the northeast at first. There will be a marked fall in temperature during the Wednesday evening with a sharp frost likely overnight, especially in the north. Later on Thursday, it will turn wet and windy in the west with some heavy rain possible for a time, and strong to gale force winds, and perhaps reaching severe gale force locally in the far northwest. Thereafter, a return to more unsettled and windy weather from the west looks the most likely scenario, with spells of rain pushing northeastwards across the country interspersed by brighter, showery and colder days. Some particularly wet and windy weather is a possibility at times. Temperatures are likely to return to nearer normal for November.

UK Outlook for Saturday 15 Nov 2014 to Saturday 29 Nov 2014:

During this period, the generally west or southwesterly flow is likely to bring spells of wet and windy weather, especially to northern and western parts of the UK. However, southern and eastern areas may see some drier and settled conditions increasing the likelihood of some sunshine, but also the risk of frost, mist and fog overnight, the latter of which could be slow to clear. Spells of unsettled weather are still likely across the south and east though. Daytime temperatures may well be near normal, although it will feel colder during any wet and windy spells.
