UK forecast for the next 5 days

Turning very windy with rain spreading east later.

Today:

A bright start for many, although wintry showers will continue across the far north with sunny spells too. Cloud, rain and strong winds will then spread eastwards through the afternoon, with gales developing around coasts, locally severe in the west.

Tonight:

Very windy overnight, especially England and Wales, with gales, locally severe. Rain clearing eastwards by the midnight, with clear spells and blustery showers following. These turning wintry across northern hills.

Tuesday:

Another windy day, with gales likely throughout. There will be sunny spells and scattered blustery showers, wintry in the north. The best of the sunshine in the south and east.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 4 Apr 2015 to Monday 13 Apr 2015:

Probably a fair amount of cloud around Saturday and Sunday. Also most likely a good deal of dry weather, though some southern and western parts may see some early rain Saturday and some eastern parts may catch isolated showers this weekend. Winds will be mainly light, and daytime temperatures most likely near or just below average. Into Easter Monday, outbreaks of rain and stronger winds are likely to affect northwestern parts, whilst other areas remain largely dry and bright. The unsettled conditions then look likely to spread further across the UK by mid-week, many parts breezier then too. Thereafter, northwestern areas are likely to have the most changeable conditions with spells of rain interspersed with colder, showery weather, with the best of the drier and brighter conditions to the southeast.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 14 Apr 2015 to Tuesday 28 Apr 2015:

During the second half of April conditions are considered most likely to be broadly typical for the time of year. As such some spells of fine, dry weather are likely, the best of these probably over southern regions, but occasional bouts of more unsettled weather with rain or showers should also be expected, perhaps more especially in the north. During fine spells maximum temperatures are likely to be near or a little above average, whilst during showery spells daytime temperatures may well be below average, especially in the north. Some cold nights, with localised frost, are also likely at times.
