Cool, breezy with showers this evening. Cloud and rain overnight.

This Evening and Tonight:

Scattered showers, some heavy this evening, especially across Cumbria. A more persistent spell of rain, heavy at times, will push in from the west later this evening and last on and off overnight. Breezy, particularly along the coast. Minimum Temperature 6C.

Friday:

Early heavy rain will move away to the southeast through the morning. A mixture of sunny spells and occasional showers, some heavy and thundery, will follow into the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 13C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Dry and bright on Saturday. Heavy rain and strong winds will cross from the west on Sunday morning. Isolated showers after this with further rain arriving Monday afternoon. Staying cool.

Showers across Scotland tonight, outbreaks of rain spreading in elsewhere.

This Evening and Tonight:

Occasional blustery showers across Scotland, some heavy with thunder. Becoming cloudier elsewhere with outbreaks of rain already affecting Northern Ireland spreading south-eastwards overnight and turning heavy at times, although the far southeast of England will stay dry.

Friday:

Rain affecting England and Wales, heavy at times and accompanied by gusty winds, will clear away eastwards during the day. Sunny intervals and blustery showers elsewhere, some heavy and thundery.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Most places fine Saturday, but with rain into the west later. Rain for most parts Sunday before becoming mostly dry from the west. Further rain spreads in Monday. Often windy.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 2 Jun 2015 to Thursday 11 Jun 2015:

Rather unsettled and cool conditions across most areas at first, with heavy showers or bands of more persistent rain. Strong winds are also likely, particularly in the south and the northwest. After this, further spells of rain and at times strong winds are expected to affect northern and north-western parts, whilst across the south of the UK conditions become mainly fine and dry. Later in the period, all parts of the UK are set to see some dry weather with periods of sunshine. Temperatures are also likely to recover to become rather warm in the south, with the north also rising to around normal for the time of year. Towards the end of this period, very warm weather may develop in south, albeit accompanied by the threat of heavy showers.

UK Outlook for Friday 12 Jun 2015 to Friday 26 Jun 2015:

High pressure looks to have become established across the north of the UK by the start of this period. This will bring fine and dry conditions to most parts with much warmer conditions than of late across the north. It is also expected to be very warm in the south, although here there is a risk of some heavy and thundery showers spreading up from continental Europe. Confidence in the forecast drops towards the end of June; however, the general trend looks set to remain much the same, meaning drier conditions in the north, some showers possible in the south and warm or very warm temperatures.
