Regional forecast for Yorkshire & Humber

Cloud early Tuesday clearing to a hot and sunny day.

This Evening and Tonight:

Dry during the evening, with many seeing late sunny spells breaking through the high cloud. It will become increasingly humid later in the night to give a close-feeling dawn period, perhaps even with the odd spot of light rain. Minimum Temperature 13°C.

Tuesday:

Perhaps rather cloudy to start, however this should soon clear northwards to leave a hot, dry day with plenty of sunshine. Feeling increasingly humid with only a light southerly breeze. Maximum Temperature 28°C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Hot to start this period, with plenty of sunshine, with the humidity perhaps periodically broken by heavy, potentially thundery showers. While still mainly fine, temperatures moderating slightly towards the weekend.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Tuesday:

Fairly cloudy in the north with rain quickly clearing northern Scotland. Elsewhere dry, sunny and becoming very warm or hot. Isolated thundery showers are possible across parts of Scotland later.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Warm or hot for many and sunny, with muggy nights. Thunderstorms possible Wednesday, restricted to the southeast and northwest on Thursday. Fresher for most Friday, showers, possibly thundery later.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 4 Jul 2015 to Monday 13 Jul 2015:

After another warm, humid start on Saturday, especially over eastern parts where there could be some thundery showers, some fresher, cooler conditions are expected to push in from the west, reaching all parts by the end of the day. Largely dry and bright and feeling cooler on Sunday. A chance of some rain spreading into the west and southwestern parts early next week, but most places, away from the northwest, look to stay mainly dry for much of the week with a return of the very warm, humid conditions and a low risk of thundery showers into the south towards midweek. By the middle of July northwestern parts are likely to see more in the way of unsettled weather, whilst southeastern parts seeing further fine, dry and very warm conditions.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 14 Jul 2015 to Tuesday 28 Jul 2015:

Many southern and central parts of the UK are likely to be mainly dry, often with fine, warm conditions. Towards the north and northwest there is an ongoing chance of seeing spells of more unsettled weather, however any periods of rain may well be less frequent than normal with some good periods of dry weather expected here as well. Temperatures are likely to be near or a little above average in the northwest, but in the southeast it will be very warm for the time of year, and could possibly become hot at times. With these warmer temperatures there is a continued low risk of occasional thundery outbreaks, especially in the southeast.
