Today:

Dry with some bright or sunny intervals although an isolated light shower is possible over the Angus hills. Feeling a little warmer than of late with winds remaining light. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

A dry bright evening. Some clear intervals tonight though becoming cloudy especially over Angus and Perthshire. Winds will remain light. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Monday:

Dry for most of the day though mostly cloudy, with the best of any brightness in Fife and Stirling. Cloud thickening later with rain spreading to Central, Fife in evening. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday cloudy with occasional mainly light rain. Some heavier, possibly thundery rain overnight and into Wednesday, then brighter with scattered heavy showers later Wednesday and on Thursday.

Today:

A few showers in the north, otherwise dry for many with warm sunny spells. Cloud, rain and drizzle slowly moving into the southwest, turning heavy at times. Feeling cool under cloud and rain at first, but turning more humid later.

Tonight:

Rain continuing to move across the south and west, with hill fog across the southwest and feeling humid. A cool night elsewhere will patchy mist and fog in the north.

Monday:

Skies clouding over for all parts. Heavy bursts of rain in the northwest, with patchy drizzle elsewhere. Some warm and humid bright spells at times in the south.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloud and rain affecting northern parts Tuesday and Wednesday, turning heavy and thundery at times. Elsewhere, dry with sunny spells and feeling very warm and humid. Fresher Thursday with showers.

UK Outlook for Thursday 24 Aug 2017 to Saturday 2 Sep 2017:

Thursday and Friday will stay rather changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain, particularly in the northwest, with much of the south staying largely dry with some sunny spells. Temperatures will be around normal, but perhaps still warm in the southeast, with a chance of some thundery showers. Into the weekend, probably staying unsettled, with further spells of rain or showers, particularly in the north and west, but perhaps more settled in the south and east. Windy at times, especially in the north, with risk of gales. Into the following week and early September, there remains a lot of uncertainty, although we may continue to see spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest, with some drier spells in the south. Temperatures will probably be near normal.

UK Outlook for Sunday 3 Sep 2017 to Sunday 17 Sep 2017:

As we head into September, we are most likely to see changeable weather conditions dominating across the United Kingdom. However, there is a chance of some more prolonged dry and fine weather at times too. As a result, on balance there are likely to be spells of rain and strong winds at times, especially across the north and west, probably interspersed with several days of brighter and showery weather. Temperatures may become warm or very warm at times, especially in the south. However, they will probably remain generally close to normal for the time of year elsewhere.
