    Staying dry overnight with some patchy amounts of cloud and clear spells developing. A milder night than recent with temperatures generally staying in double figures. Minimum Temperature 10°C.

    Sunday:

    A fine day for many with long periods of sunshine and light southerly winds. Turning cloudier and winder into the evening with rain in far west. Warmer than recent days. Maximum Temperature 20°C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Outbreaks of rain move eastwards on Monday. Sunny spells and blustery showers on Tuesday, but turning drier for a time Wednesday. Windy at times, especially on Tuesday.

    Sunny spells and showers for many. Breezy in the north.

    Today:

    Breezy with heavy showers across Scotland today. A band of showery rain over northern England and Wales will edge slowly south through the day. The southeast of England will be largely dry and warm with light winds.

    Tonight:

    Showers will die out leaving some clear spells. Cloudier, breezier weather, with some rain or drizzle will develop in western parts, mainly Northern Ireland. Milder night than of late.

    Sunday:

    Windier with rain reaching northern England and Scotland, locally heavy in the west. Fine elsewhere, with the southeast hotter than of late, before cloud and rain reaches the southwest later.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Showery rain moves eastwards through Monday, but warm in the southeast. Cooler with sunny spells and blustery showers for many thereafter. Windy on Monday and Tuesday especially in the west.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 6 Aug 2015 to Saturday 15 Aug 2015:

    Unsettled and often wet conditions are expected to persist in the north on Thursday with southeastern parts having the greatest chance of staying dry with some sunshine, although there is a risk of some thundery showers here later in the day. Generally drier and brighter on Friday, particularly in the southeast. Conditions will then remain generally unsettled with bands of rain, accompanied by strong winds, pushing in from the west at times. These will be interspersed with more showery conditions with the southeast seeing the best of any drier weather. Temperatures are likely to range from rather cool in the north and west to nearer normal in the south and east, although some transient warm spells are possible in the southeast at times.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 16 Aug 2015 to Sunday 30 Aug 2015:

    The unsettled theme is likely to continue for much of the UK to the end of August with wet and windy conditions at times, particularly in the north and west of the UK. Southern and eastern parts will continue to see the best of any drier and brighter spells, although there is still a risk of rain or showers here at times. There is a weak signal for some periods of drier and more settled weather to develop towards the end of the month, however confidence in this is currently low. Temperatures on the whole will be near or below average for the time of year, especially in the north, although during any more settled spells of weather it could turn warmer at times in the southeast.
