    Staying mild, cloudy but with some rain and strong winds.


    Outbreaks of rain will move eastwards through the morning with some strong winds. Patchy light rain and drizzle will then linger through the day with mainly cloudy skies and hill fog. It will be another very mild day. Maximum Temperature 14 °C.


    A breezy, mild and cloudy night will follow for all parts with low cloud, hill fog and further outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.


    Rather cloudy, very mild with patchy light drizzle, but also some brighter spells to the east of higher ground. Winds increasing later as a band of locally heavy rain arrives. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Rain lingering through mush of Saturday with some heavy outbreaks. Sunday will then be dry and bright with sunny spells. Cloudier with perhaps a little rain on Monday.

    Mild, cloudy and wet in the south. Drier, brighter elsewhere.


    Locally heavy rain will move eastwards across northern England and Wales, leaving very mild and cloudy conditions with occasional light rain or drizzle for Wales, central and southern England. Drier with bright spells elsewhere, where it'll be less mild.


    Cloudy with hill fog and some patchy drizzle in the south. Increasingly cloudy in the north, with rain in the north-west later. Mild in the south, colder in the north.


    Rain in the north-west moves slowly south-eastwards to lie across many northern, western and some central parts later. Very mild and windy for many with gales in the north-west.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Bright for many on Saturday and Sunday, but rain persisting in the south on Saturday. Windy with showers in the north. Further rain possible in the north-west Monday, drier elsewhere.

    UK Outlook for Monday 12 Dec 2016 to Wednesday 21 Dec 2016:

    It will turn wetter in the northwest on Monday with a risk of local gales. It'll be generally dry and bright for most, but patchy overnight frost and fog are likely in the southeast. Through the week, further periods of wet and windy weather are expected to move across the UK. The most unsettled conditions are likely across the north and west with drier and brighter weather for southern and eastern areas. By mid December there will probably be some longer, drier spells between the wet weather, perhaps heralding a change to something generally more settled. It will also be fairly mild initially but temperatures are likely to return closer to normal, although passing weather systems may raise them at times.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 22 Dec 2016 to Thursday 5 Jan 2017:

    Whilst there is a good deal of uncertainty for this period, it is most likely that more settled conditions may dominate associated with high pressure affecting the UK. If the pressure does build, then we can expect drier than average conditions for most areas with lighter winds. Temperatures are also then likely to be below average with an increased risk of frost and fog, especially where skies remain clear overnight. There will probably also be some milder, unsettled interludes though, and as we head into the New Year this may become more of a feature in our weather.
