    Warm with sunny spells through much of Friday, but risk of thundery showers during the evening. Remaining warm with some sunshine over the weekend but further risk of thundery showers.

    After a fine, warm and sunny evening across most of England and Wales, the night will continue dry with clear skies. Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cumbria will be rather cloudy with the risk of a little light rain.

    Thursday:

    Warm across England and Wales with sunny spells. Scotland and Northern Ireland will be cloudier with the risk of some showery rain in the far northwest.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Mainly dry with sunny spells and becoming increasingly warm. Risk of thundery showers breaking over the weekend, with some rain in the northwest.

    UK Outlook for Monday 9 May 2016 to Wednesday 18 May 2016:

    Most parts will very warm with some good sunny spells on Monday and Tuesday, although some heavy and thundery showers may affect the southwest, with a small risk of these showers developing elsewhere. Fog in the North Sea may also come onshore onto eastern coasts at times. Through the second half of next week northern parts are likely to become mainly dry, although thundery showers, or longer spells of rain may affect the south at times. Sea fog could continue to affect some eastern coasts Mainly dry and settled weather is then expected through to the middle of May with above average temperatures at first, although temperatures could return to near normal later, with perhaps more changeable weather spreading into the northwest.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 19 May 2016 to Thursday 2 Jun 2016:

    There is some uncertainty through this period but the most likely scenario is for mainly dry weather with sunny spells to persist in the south and east. More changeable weather is expected in the north and west with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed by some drier and brighter conditions. Temperatures are likely to be near normal, though perhaps becoming warm later towards the southeast.
