    Cornwall and parts of Devon will be cloudy, with spells of occasionally heavy rain at first, then it will slowly improve later. Elsewhere there will be sunny spells and some heavy, perhaps thundery, showers. Windy in the south and west. Maximum Temperature 15 °C.

    Tonight:

    The rain will ease this evening, and it will become dry through the early hours. There will be some clear spells but it will stay frost free. Minimum Temperature 7 °C.

    Tuesday:

    There will be patchy cloud through Tuesday morning but bright or sunny spells will develop. A few showers are possible in the east but it will feel warm. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Through this week it'll stay dry with sunny spells, but it'll be often breezy. It will be rather warm by day, and it should stay largely frost free by night.

    Outbreaks of rain will continue across parts of Cornwall, with sunny spells and some heavy showers for other parts of southern England and Wales. Elsewhere will be fine and dry though, and warm in the northwest.

    Tonight:

    Today's rain and showers will ease tonight, leaving clear spells. It will be clearer in the northwest, and chilly here, with thicker cloud in the northeast.

    Tuesday:

    Tuesday will be largely dry with sunny spells. A few showers will affect parts of England, mainly in the southeast. Warm for many, but chilly on North Sea coasts.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Most places should be dry, with a good deal of sunshine. Cloudier in southeast, with perhaps patchy rain. Breezy in south and central areas. Warm in west, chilly in east.

    UK Outlook for Friday 5 May 2017 to Sunday 14 May 2017:

    This period will begin mostly dry and fine with the best of the bright or sunny weather likely to be across the west and north-west. The far south may see some showers or longer spells of rain at times and it will continue to be fairly breezy, especially on exposed eastern coasts. Temperatures will be close to normal and it will feel warm in any sunshine, but along the east coast it will be rather cool. Thereafter, it is likely to turn cooler more widely for a time with the best of the dry and bright weather persisting in the west and a risk overnight frost in the north. However, by the end of the period it could gradually turn more unsettled and milder from the southwest.

    UK Outlook for Monday 15 May 2017 to Monday 29 May 2017:

    As we head into the middle of May, it is more likely that drier than average conditions will continue. However there remains the possibility of some occasional wetter interludes, especially in the south and west. After a fairly cold start, temperatures are likely to become warmer with the chance that they could become very warm at times, particularly later in the month.
