Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Aug 2015 to Friday 14 Aug 2015:

On Wednesday, scattered, blustery showers will affect many areas, these heaviest and most frequent in northern and western parts, whilst southern and eastern areas will see the best of any drier and brighter interludes. Showery conditions are likely to persist in the north on Thursday, but better conditions are likely further south with only isolated showers and some pleasant sunny spells. Thereafter, changeable conditions are expected to continue. The north is most likely to see more frequent spells of wind and rain. Southern areas should see the best of any drier and settled weather, but some rain here at times too. Temperatures are likely to be near or just below normal in the north, and around normal in the south, however some warmer spells are possible.

UK Outlook for Saturday 15 Aug 2015 to Saturday 29 Aug 2015:

The changeable conditions are likely to continue into the second half of August. Northern areas remain most likely to see the more frequent spells of wind and rain, with the best of the drier and more settled conditions in the south, although some outbreaks of rain are likely here at times too. There is a weak signal for some periods of drier and more settled weather to develop towards the end of the month, however confidence in this is currently low. Temperatures on the whole will be near or below average for the time of year, especially in the north, although during any settled spells of weather it could turn rather warm at times.
