    Warm sunshine and scattered thundery showers today. Mostly fine tomorrow.


    The morning will start rather cloudy in most areas with the chance of a shower. Some warm spells of sunshine will develop, although scattered heavy and thundery showers are also expected during the afternoon, especially in the south and west. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.


    Showers will ease and become more isolated overnight, leaving many parts of the country dry. Some clear spells will develop, along with patches of low cloud and mist. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.


    Sunday promises to be a largely dry day with patches of low cloud and mist soon lifting to leave some warm spells of sunshine. Maximum Temperature 20 °C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    It should remain dry with some warm sunshine on Bank Holiday Monday. However, Tuesday and Wednesday look more unsettled and breezy, with showers or longer spells of rain.

    Some warm sunshine. Thundery showers in the south and west.


    Low cloud will become confined towards some coastal areas, to leave many parts dry with some warm sunshine. However, scattered heavy and locally thundery showers are likely to develop across some southern and western areas, especially during the afternoon.


    Heavy showers will ease to leave most areas dry overnight. There will be clear spells, although areas of low cloud and mist are likely, especially across central and eastern parts.


    Mostly dry weather is expected with some warm sunshine. However, a few showers are likely, more especially towards the west and northwest, with cloud thickening in the southeast later.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Monday looks mostly fine in the west. However, wind and rain in the east should move west into central areas. Thereafter, showers or longer spells of rain are generally likely.

    Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

    UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Jun 2016 to Saturday 11 Jun 2016:

    Cloud and rain, locally heavy, especially over northeastern England and southern Scotland possible through Thursday and Friday. Sunshine and showers are likely further south, with western Scotland and Northern Ireland seeing rain later. As we move through next weekend, many places could see dry spells, although further thundery showers are possible, especially in the south. Northern parts should have the driest, brightest weather, with some prolonged sunny spells. Eastern areas probably feeling cooler with plenty of cloud and a brisk easterly breeze. Towards the end of the period some rain or showers are possible across most parts, with the east seeing the driest weather. Temperatures probably coolest along northeastern coasts at first, with warmer conditions elsewhere. Later in the period warmer conditions are likely to reach all areas.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 12 Jun 2016 to Sunday 26 Jun 2016:

    Starting mainly dry in the east and northeast at first, but most areas seeing some rain or showers at times. Towards mid-June there is a signal for more unsettled weather to develop, with northwestern areas seeing wetter and windier weather, while warmer conditions are favoured in the south and east.
