Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 14 Feb 2016 to Tuesday 23 Feb 2016:

Unsettled and rather cold conditions are likely to continue at first. Cold, showery conditions across the northeast at first may give spells of snow, with overnight frosts likely. Further southwest more prolonged spells of rain are likely, with a risk of this turning wintry, most likely over high ground. It will be windy at times, with a possibility of gales, most likely in the northeast and far southwest. It may turn drier from the west at the start of next week, although remaining cold with overnight frosts. Through the week, unsettled conditions should gradually return, with northwestern areas seeing the wettest, windiest weather, and southeastern areas likely to see more in the way of dry weather. Temperatures returning to near normal, although with overnight frosts still possible.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Feb 2016 to Wednesday 9 Mar 2016:

Indications are that the latter half of February will be dominated by changeable weather coming in from the Atlantic. This will bring showers or longer spells of rain to most parts, wettest in northern areas, while southern parts may benefit from some longer dry spells. Snow is likely at times, mainly over northern hills. Temperatures should generally be near normal for the time of year, with the chance of occasional frosty nights where skies become clear. Generally windy with gales or even severe gales at times, mainly in northern and western parts. Into early March there is a possibility of more settled weather becoming established, mainly across southern areas, bringing drier and less windy conditions here, however, wet and windy weather will more likely persist in the north and west.
