    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Breezy and cool with lengthy sunny spells and showers on Friday and Saturday before turning cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Sunday.

    Rain pushing eastwards for many, sunshine and showers in Scotland.


    A bright start in the east, but already wet and windy in the west and this will spread eastwards through the day. Brighter in some central and western areas later, whilst sunshine and heavy showers persist in Scotland.


    Winds easing as rain clears to the east, leaving a mostly dry and clear night across the UK. Some places seeing the odd shower, particularly in western Scotland by dawn.


    A drier day for many although the odd outbreak of rain in the west and further heavy showers in Scotland. Sunny spells for most, best of the brightness further east.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Cool and breezy with sunshine and showers, turning heavy in the northwest but lengthy, dry and bright spells in the south. Cloudy with further rain in the south on Sunday.

    UK Outlook for Monday 4 Jul 2016 to Wednesday 13 Jul 2016:

    Remaining changeable and often unsettled at first, with bands of rain pushing across the country, interspersed with sunshine and showers. The wettest weather is most likely in the north and west where it may be occasionally windy too, whilst the south and east will see the best of any drier and brighter spells along with generally lighter winds. Through the period, a generally more settled spell of weather may develop across the south, giving more in the way of drier, brighter periods here. Temperatures are expected to be on the cooler side of normal though it'll feel warm in any drier, sunnier periods especially in the south and east. Perhaps returning to normal or locally warm and humid in the south later.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 14 Jul 2016 to Thursday 28 Jul 2016:

    The changeable weather is likely to persist at first in the north, with rain or sunshine and showers and temperatures near average, however the more settled conditions initially in the south may then spread north. This should bring longer dry periods to much of the country, along with warmer temperatures and lighter winds. There is also a chance of more humid continental air moving up across the south and southeast at times, bringing very warm temperatures and perhaps a risk of some thundery showers.
