Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 27 Oct 2014 to Wednesday 5 Nov 2014:

The south is likely to see settled conditions on Monday and Tuesday, with rain and strong winds continuing further north. A north-south split looks most likely to develop by the middle of next week. Windy and unsettled conditions are likely in the north and somewhat quieter, drier weather in the south, although there may be some rain here at times. Temperatures will generally be near normal, although feeling cold in the rain. By the end of October and into early November, the broad north-south split looks set to continue, with northern areas remaining changeable and at times unsettled. Further south, there are hints that pressure may rise further, increasing the potential for more prolonged drier periods with some sunshine, but with a greater risk of overnight and morning fog.

UK Outlook for Thursday 6 Nov 2014 to Thursday 20 Nov 2014:

The main signal is for a continuation of a north-south split during the second week of November. During this period, the generally westerly flow is likely to bring spells of wet and windy weather, mostly affecting northern and some western areas, but perhaps reaching other areas as well interspersed with drier intervals. However southern and some eastern areas will probably see more in the way of drier and settled conditions increasing the likelihood of seeing some sunshine, but also the risk of frost, mist and fog overnight, the latter of which could be slow to clear. After this it looks like unsettled weather will spread to much of the UK. Daytime temperatures will probably be near or a little above normal, although feeling cooler during any wet and windy spells.
