Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 1 Sep 2014 to Wednesday 10 Sep 2014:

Remaining generally unsettled on Monday with further outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy in the far northwest with the risk of gales, spreading eastwards. Drier and brighter in the south though, with light winds. More settled conditions will gradually spread in from the west on Tuesday, with southern areas likely to see the best of the drier, brighter and warmer weather, whilst some northern parts could see a few showers but also some sunny intervals and light winds. Towards the end of the period, a return to more changeable conditions is likely, with northern and western areas in particular likely to see some rain at times. Temperatures will generally be near normal at first, though feeling chilly in strong winds on Monday, then gradually increase to a few degrees above average.

UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Sep 2014 to Thursday 25 Sep 2014:

During mid to late September most regions can expect to see periods of fine weather, with some warm sunshine at times. However, these fine periods may well be interspersed with occasional spells of cloudier, more unsettled conditions bringing showers or longer spells of rain. Northern and western parts are then probably most likely to see the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather, whilst southern and eastern parts should see the most prolonged fine and dry spells. Daytime temperatures are likely to be above average during fine weather leaving conditions feeling pleasantly warm. Nights, however, may well be on the chilly side. During any unsettled weather daytime temperatures are more likely to be near or below average leaving conditions feeling cool.
