Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 1 Apr 2015 to Friday 10 Apr 2015:

A bright but windy start on Wednesday, although some blustery and perhaps wintry showers are likely for a time in the north. Cloud will then gradually build from the west, as a band of rain spreads slowly eastwards into Thursday, although some northeastern parts will remain dry. Into the Easter weekend and the following week, changeable conditions are expected, especially across the north. This will bring periods of stronger wind, rain and showers, although interspersed with some sunny spells. With high pressure remaining close to the south of the UK, and perhaps extending across the UK at times, some more prolonged drier and brighter conditions are possible, particularly in the south and east. Temperatures will be near average, but occasionally below average in the north, with localised overnight frost possible.

UK Outlook for Friday 10 Apr 2015 to Friday 24 Apr 2015:

The changeable period is expected to continue, with unsettled conditions interspersed with some spells of fine weather. With a westerly weather type most likely, especially at first, showery outbreaks or longer spells of rain are likely to affect parts of the UK throughout the period. These unsettled conditions will be most frequent across the northwest, although extending further south and east at times. There will also be some drier, brighter and settled periods, these most prolonged the south and east, and also later in the period. Temperatures are then expected to average out to be around normal for the middle of April. However they will vary from day to day, and there are likely to be some cold nights at times, especially in the north, where localised frosts remain possible.
