Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Feb 2016 to Saturday 20 Feb 2016:

Unsettled weather will continue across all parts of the country initially with further spells of cloud and rain interspersed by colder, brighter, showery conditions. Precipitation will occasionally fall as snow in northern and central areas, this mainly on hills, but perhaps also to lower levels at times. It will often be windy with gales or severe gales in places, perhaps most frequently across exposed southern parts. Temperatures are expected to be near average in the south, but slightly below normal in the north where there will be some overnight frosts. Turning drier briefly on Monday before unsettled weather quickly returns to all parts, the wettest and windiest weather this time across the north. More in the way of drier, settled weather may develop later in the week across southern areas.

UK Outlook for Sunday 21 Feb 2016 to Sunday 6 Mar 2016:

Indications are that the latter half of February will be dominated by changeable weather coming in from the Atlantic. This will bring showers or longer spells of rain to most parts, wettest in northern areas, while southern parts may benefit from some longer dry spells. Snow is likely at times, mainly over northern hills. Temperatures should generally be near normal for the time of year, however occasional frosty nights are possible at where skies become clear. Generally windy with gales or even severe gales at times, mainly in northern and western parts. By early March there is a possibility of more settled weather becoming established, mainly across southern areas, bringing drier and less windy conditions here, however, wet and windy weather will most likely persistent in the north and west.
