    Cloud will quickly increase, bringing showers or longer spells of rain, especially across southern areas. The showers may fall as sleet or snow over high ground. Also becoming breezy. Minimum Temperature 3°C.

    Wednesday:

    Lincolnshire will be largely cloudy with further showers or longer spells of rain, also windy along the coast. Elsewhere isolated showers, with many places dry with bright spells. Feeling cold. Maximum Temperature 6°C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Thursday frosty start, then sunny spells and isolated showers. Probably cloudier and breezy from Friday afternoon onwards, with some rain or sleet but also drier spells. Generally staying cold.

    Today:

    A cold and perhaps frosty start, with a risk of wintry showers in the south west. Sunny spells and showers for the rest of today, which will be falling as sleet or snow on the hills. Some places staying dry.

    Tonight:

    Tonight there will be further showers followed by clear spells, and with temperatures dropping close to freezing for most, there may be some frost or ice forming in sheltered areas.

    Wednesday:

    Wednesday will be clear, dry and sunny for most. However in the east and the far southwest cloud will linger throughout the day, with the odd shower possible at times.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Sunny spells and the odd shower on Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be cloudier with rain at times, particularly in southern and central areas. Bright and cold in the north.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 14 Feb 2016 to Tuesday 23 Feb 2016:

    Unsettled and rather cold conditions are likely to continue at first. Cold, showery conditions across the northeast at first may give spells of snow, with overnight frosts likely. Further southwest more prolonged spells of rain are likely, with a risk of this turning wintry, most likely over high ground. It will be windy at times, with a possibility of gales, most likely in the northeast and far southwest. It may turn drier from the west at the start of next week, although remaining cold with overnight frosts. Through the week, unsettled conditions should gradually return, with northwestern areas seeing the wettest, windiest weather, and southeastern areas likely to see more in the way of dry weather. Temperatures returning to near normal, although with overnight frosts still possible.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Feb 2016 to Wednesday 9 Mar 2016:

    Indications are that the latter half of February will be dominated by changeable weather coming in from the Atlantic. This will bring showers or longer spells of rain to most parts, wettest in northern areas, while southern parts may benefit from some longer dry spells. Snow is likely at times, mainly over northern hills. Temperatures should generally be near normal for the time of year, with the chance of occasional frosty nights where skies become clear. Generally windy with gales or even severe gales at times, mainly in northern and western parts. Into early March there is a possibility of more settled weather becoming established, mainly across southern areas, bringing drier and less windy conditions here, however, wet and windy weather will more likely persist in the north and west.
