    Any isolated early showers will die away. Turning cloudy and misty with fog patches forming. Light winds everywhere and feeling quite muggy. Minimum Temperature 15 °C.

    Wednesday:

    Dull and misty with fog patches at first, however, during the afternoon most parts will see some bright or sunny spells developing. Staying warm and humid with light winds. Maximum Temperature 26 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Generally feeling fresher and cooler than recent days, while the odd shower is likely most parts will see lengthy dry spells with clear or sunny periods. Winds remaining light.

    Rain in the northwest. Mostly dry, warm and humid elsewhere.

    Today:

    Damp start across Scotland, but rain easing. However, showery rain returning to Northern Ireland and western Scotland; heavy and thundery later. After a murky start for England and Wales, becoming brighter, very warm and humid with the odd heavy shower.

    Tonight:

    Heavy, thundery rain will move across Scotland and northern England. Elsewhere, generally dry with clear spells and some hill fog. Warm and humid, but turning slightly fresher from the west.

    Wednesday:

    Heavy rain becoming confined to northeast Scotland. Further south, some patchy rain, but sunny and very warm in the southeast. A fresher day elsewhere with sunny spells and scattered showers.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Staying changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain across the north and west, whilst generally dry in the south. Perhaps more widely drier by Saturday with isolated showers.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 27 Aug 2017 to Tuesday 5 Sep 2017:

    Sunday will probably become changeable again, with heavy showers or longer spells of rain arriving, particularly in the north and west. However, parts of the southeast are likely to stay mainly dry with some sunny spells. It will be windy at times, especially in the north. On Monday a band of cloud and rain may sink southwards across the country, with brighter conditions following on behind. Into the following week, there remains a lot of uncertainty, although we could continue to see spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest. It will be drier in general across the southeast, although there is a risk of some thundery showers here at times. Temperatures will probably be near normal, though perhaps rather warm at times in the south.

    During this period, we are most likely to see changeable weather conditions featuring across the United Kingdom. However, there will be some dry and fine weather at times too. On balance spells of rain and strong winds are likely to dominate in the north and west, with drier and brighter weather more common in the south and east. Temperatures will probably remain close to normal for the time of year in most parts, though they may become warm or very warm at times in the south which may generate some thunderstorms.
