    Dry and rather cloudy today, with outbreaks of rain tonight.


    Mostly dry but rather cloudy this morning, with some brightness across the northeast of the region. However, outbreaks of rain will move in from the southwest, spreading across most areas by this evening. Maximum Temperature 10C.


    It will stay cloudy and damp overnight with further spells of rain, heavy at times. It will be chilly but stay frost free. Minimum Temperature 4C.


    It will be a fairly wet start but it should become drier through the day. The odd sunny spell is possible but for many it will stay cloudy. Maximum Temperature 11C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    The rest of the Easter weekend should be mainly dry with quite a lot of cloud around. However, with light winds it should feel a little milder than of late.

    Fine across eastern Britain but cloudy and damp further west.


    Fine across central and eastern Britain but cloud and rain across the west and southwest will edge slowly eastwards. There will be extensive hill fog across southwestern parts of England and Wales, and it will feel cold under the cloud.


    Dry at first across eastern Britain with ground frost possible. Rain will slowly move east, with some hill snow across northern England and Scotland, and heavy rain across western parts.


    Mainly cloudy at first with occasional rain, however, it should become drier through the day with cloud breaking to allow some sunny intervals across western parts of the UK.

    The rest of the Easter weekend should be mainly dry with light winds. It is likely to be rather cloudy but some sunny intervals are possible. It should feel milder.

    UK Outlook for Monday 6 Apr 2015 to Wednesday 15 Apr 2015:

    It should remain largely dry with some sunny spells and light winds on Easter Monday, particularly over southern and southwestern parts, however skies will likely remain fairly cloudy in general. Parts of the northwest may be affected by some light rain and drizzle too. High pressure is then likely to remain dominant through to the middle of the month with a good deal of dry weather and with some sunny spells likely, and with temperatures probably around average, perhaps just above during the daytime. However, northern and western parts could see some rain at times with some windier periods too, although any rain should weaken as it edges southeast into other parts of the country.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 16 Apr 2015 to Thursday 30 Apr 2015:

    From the middle of April it is probable that the high pressure will decline away, allowing a more westerly flow with conditions more typical for the time of year. As such some spells of fine, dry weather are likely, the best of these probably over southern parts. Occasional bouts of more unsettled and windier weather should also be expected with colder, and occasionally showery conditions, more especially across northwestern parts. Temperatures are likely to be around normal for the time of year with marked differences from day to day, and with localised frost still possible.
