    Regional forecast for West Midlands

Fine and often sunny. Isolated showers. Cold tonight.

    Tonight:

Any lingering showers will fade away leaving a dry, clear and unseasonably cold night. This could lead to a grass frost in prone rural spots. Minimum Temperature 3C.

    Sunday:

A chilly start, but soon feeling warmer for many with plenty of sunshine. However cloud will then spread in from the southwest during the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 18C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled Bank Holiday Monday, with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, but also brighter intervals. Turning drier, brighter but also breezy Tuesday, and into Wednesday. However further rain possible later.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

    Today:

A fine, dry and often sunny day for most. However isolated showers are likely, especially across central and eastern areas. These could turn heavy with a risk of thunder during the afternoon. Best of the drier weather in the southwest.

    Tonight:

    Sunday:

Bright but chilly start. Cloud will spread northeastwards bringing rain to southwestern parts and Northern Ireland by evening. Warmer, with the best of the sunshine across northern and eastern parts.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 28 Aug 2014 to Saturday 6 Sep 2014:

Rather unsettled across much of the UK on Thursday, Friday and into the weekend with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, interspersed with brighter and drier interludes. It will be windy at times in the northwest. However, conditions may become drier and brighter across southern parts through Friday, into the weekend and perhaps into the start of the new week. A northwest to southeast split is the most likely scenario through the rest of the period with the wettest weather likely to be in the northwest, where it will be windy at times, whilst the best of the drier and brighter interludes will be towards the southeast and possibly becoming lengthier with time. Temperatures will be near normal, but warm at times during the sunnier periods and towards the southeast.

UK Outlook for Sunday 7 Sep 2014 to Sunday 21 Sep 2014:

Current signals continue to suggest a broadly changeable spell of weather. As such, most regions can expect to see spells of fine weather, with some warm sunshine at times. However, these spells will then be interspersed with more unsettled conditions bringing showery outbreaks and perhaps more prolonged spells of rain. Northern and western parts are then likely to see the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather, whilst southern and eastern parts are likely to see the most frequent and prolonged fine and dry spells. Daytime temperatures, meanwhile, are likely to be warm during the fine spells and near or below average during unsettled weather.
