Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 8 Oct 2015 to Saturday 17 Oct 2015:

After a largely dry day for most on Thursday we erratically return to generally changeable conditions across the UK, with spells of wet and windy weather pushing in from the west, interspersed with brief drier and brighter interludes. The best of the drier and brighter conditions look likely to be towards the south and southeast, but even these areas will see some rain at times. During some of the more unsettled spells there is a risk that exposed western areas could see gales or even severe gales. Temperatures will generally be around average for the time of year, with some southeastern parts becoming quite warm by day. There is a chance of longer drier spells in between the wetter weather as we move towards the middle of October.

UK Outlook for Sunday 18 Oct 2015 to Sunday 1 Nov 2015:

Conditions for much of the UK are likely to stay on the changeable side through most of the period with spells of wet and windy weather interspersed with periods of drier and brighter weather. Western areas are always most at risk of seeing the wettest and most unsettled conditions with the best of the drier, brighter conditions likely in the east and southeast. Temperatures are likely to balance out close to average through this period, but with the possibility of some chilly nights in the more settled spells which could give rural frosts.
