Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Oct 2016 to Friday 14 Oct 2016:

Dry and bright for many areas to end the working week with some warm sunshine by day, however nights will turn chilly under clear skies with a risk of fog and local grass frost. More unsettled weather with rain and stronger winds will probably return to northern and western parts by the weekend, however some southeastern areas could remain fine until the start of the new week. Thereafter a changeable weather pattern is expected to dominate across all areas, most unsettled, wet and windy in the northwest, while southeastern parts will see drier, calmer conditions with only infrequent spells of rain. Temperatures are generally expected to be above average, but feeling cooler in wet and windy spells, and with some chilly nights where skies stay clear.

UK Outlook for Saturday 15 Oct 2016 to Saturday 29 Oct 2016:

There is currently low confidence for the forecast during the second half of October, however the most likely scenario is for changeable conditions to dominate across most parts. The north and northwest are likely to see the most unsettled weather, with strong winds and showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed with some drier interludes. Further south and southeast there is a greater likelihood of drier, brighter weather, although still with the risk of some rain at times. Temperatures will vary through the period, probably averaging out slightly above normal for the time of year, though with an increasing risk of overnight frost in the more settled spells, especially in the north.
