Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Friday 30 Sep 2016 to Sunday 9 Oct 2016:

Cool with sunshine and showers on Friday and Saturday with strong wind perhaps giving gales in the north or northwest with the showers most frequent here. There is low confidence by early next week but an unsettled pattern is most likely to continue, with spells of rain mixed with brighter, drier but occasional showery interludes. The northwest should see the most of the wet weather, with a risk of gales at times. Drier in southeastern parts, but some rain and breezy conditions are still possible. There is the slight chance that drier weather may spread to all parts for a few days from mid-week. Temperatures will vary but should average out to around normal for the time of year with some overnight frosts.

UK Outlook for Monday 10 Oct 2016 to Monday 24 Oct 2016:

Low confidence for the weather details for the rest of October. Currently, it is most likely that the unsettled weather will continue. Rain and strong winds possible at times for much of the country, especially in the north, intermixed with quieter, drier spells perhaps lasting a few days particularly in the south. Temperatures around, or slightly below average, with an increasing chance of some chilly nights and local frosts, especially in the north.
