UK forecast for the next 5 days

Band of rain and strong winds moving into the northwest.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 7 Oct 2014 to Thursday 16 Oct 2014:

Spells of rain will affect some southeastern and eastern parts during Tuesday and Wednesday, whilst northwestern areas are likely to see frequent showers. There will be more in the way of drier intervals across central regions, however it will remain breezy, especially in the northwest and through the English Channel, perhaps with gales. Temperatures will be near average, or a little below, but feeling cold at times in the wind and rain. Whilst the wind will gradually ease into the weekend, further showers are likely, especially across the northwest, with spells of more persistent rain continuing across southern areas at times. The unsettled conditions are then likely to continue during the following week, although southeastern and eastern parts are more likely to see prolonged drier periods.

UK Outlook for Friday 17 Oct 2014 to Friday 31 Oct 2014:

Current indications suggest that generally unsettled conditions are likely to affect many areas of the UK during this period, with spells of wet and windy weather. However these are likely to be interspersed with drier and clearer interludes, which will also bring an increasing risk of overnight frosts and fog patches, especially across northern parts. Daytime temperatures generally close to the seasonal average.
