Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 11 Mar 2015 to Friday 20 Mar 2015:

After a bright start on Wednesday, a frontal system, with its associated cloud and rain, will push northeastwards across the UK with strong winds affecting western parts. A drier interlude is expected to follow for a time, before another rain-bearing weather front pushes into the west later Thursday. Whilst most areas will see some rain during this period, southern and eastern parts will be more sheltered and thus remain drier. Thereafter, pressure is expected to build over, or to the east of, the UK bringing more settled and drier conditions to many. However, weather fronts will occasionally push in from the Atlantic bringing cloudier interludes with some rain, mainly to northwestern parts. Temperatures will often be near, or perhaps above average, but with cold nights still likely under clearer conditions.

UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Mar 2015 to Saturday 4 Apr 2015:

It looks probable that pressure will remain higher than average across the UK at first. This would bring generally drier than average conditions, but it is likely that there could be large amounts of cloud at times, with some occasional rain or showers, particularly across the north. There are signs that more of a northwest-southeast split will develop in late March and into early April with wetter conditions into the northwest, whilst drier conditions and higher than average pressure perhaps persist in the southeast.
