    Some places across the far south will have clear skies, with temperatures quickly falling to allow a frost to develop. However, many areas will remain cloudier and so frost free. Minimum Temperature -2 °C.

    Wednesday:

    Early frost for the far south, and also sunny periods. Through the day the cloudier conditions elsewhere will extend across the far south, bringing hill fog and occasional drizzle. Maximum Temperature 6 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Mainly cloudy, rather cold, with perhaps a little drizzle. There will be some patchy hill fog although brighter spells may develop at times, especially across the south and east.

    Cloudy for most with a little light rain or drizzle and hill fog in places. Some southern and eastern parts of England probably clearer with a frost and localised fog.

    Wednesday:

    Another rather cloudy and mild day for most with a little light rain or drizzle in places. Cold in the south and south-east with some sunny spells possible here.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Largely cloudy with some outbreaks of light rain at times. Drier and brighter at times in the south and northeast. Relatively mild in the north, cooler towards the southeast.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Jan 2017 to Monday 30 Jan 2017:

    The current week is set to end with a continuation of high pressure across the UK. The south east and central areas will tend to turn colder and brighter through the weekend, and this brings a risk of overnight frosts and fog. Into the next working week, more unsettled conditions are likely to spread into the far north and west which will bring some spells of rain at times here. The unsettled and at times windy conditions are likely to spread south and east through the week, which will bring milder conditions to all and outbreaks of rain at times across the country. The bulk of the rain is likely to be in the west.

    UK Outlook for Monday 30 Jan 2017 to Monday 13 Feb 2017:

    Looking ahead to the start of February the most likely scenario is that Atlantic low pressure systems will bring spells of wet weather to all at times, though these will be interspersed with drier and brighter interludes. Temperatures will generally be around average for this time of year, though it will turn milder again at times. However, there is possibility that an area of high pressure will become dominant again, especially into the second week of February, which could give colder, more settled conditions for all with the return of overnight frost and patches of freezing fog.
