    Very warm with sunny spells. Increasing risk of thunderstorms later.

    Today:

    Very warm and sunny initially with a southeasterly breeze. Cloud amounts will increase by late morning with a few heavy showers. A brief drier period early afternoon but scattered slow-moving thunderstorms will develop, locally torrential with gusty winds and hail. Maximum Temperature 26 °C.

    Tonight:

    Thunderstorms will move quickly north, becoming rather cloudy and breezy with a few spells of light rain, especially in the west, with hill fog. Still feeling fairly warm overnight. Minimum Temperature 10 °C.

    Sunday:

    Dry and rather cloudy, but with occasional sunny spells. Perhaps quite breezy at first, but winds becoming much lighter through the morning. Feeling rather warm. Maximum Temperature 22 °C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Mostly cloudy and humid with showery rain Monday, some heavy. Likely dry with sunny spells Tuesday, and feeling fresher. Perhaps cloud and rain later. Mainly dry with sunny spells Wednesday.

    UK forecast for the next 5 days

    Scattered thunderstorms moving northeast during Saturday.

    Today:

    Thundery showers will move northeast through Saturday, turning heavier across northern England and southern Scotland during the afternoon. Heavy and persistent rain too for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Becoming drier across the south and west and still feeling hot.

    Tonight:

    Outbreaks of occasionally thundery rain will slowly ease northwards overnight, but persisting throughout in the far north. Elsewhere it will be dry with clear spells, feeling cooler than of late.

    Sunday:

    Rain will continue to slowly clear the Northern Isles through Sunday, elsewhere dry and bright with a fresher feel but further thundery showers arriving from the south in the afternoon.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    On Monday thundery showers will push north with brighter conditions following. Fresher again on Tuesday and Wednesday with light rain in the northwest and drier and brighter conditions further southeast.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 31 May 2017 to Friday 9 Jun 2017:

    Mainly dry with some sunny spells in the south and east on Wednesday. Becoming more unsettled in the north and west into Thursday with bands of cloud and rain pushing in from the west, weakening as they move eastwards. The south and southeast still at risk of further humid conditions and thundery outbreaks. Temperatures remaining rather warm. Turning more generally changeable from the end of the week and through the remainder of the period. The northwest tending to see spells of rain or showers with some drier, brighter interludes. Generally drier and brighter further southeast, but some rain at times here too. Windy at times, especially in the northwest. Temperatures generally near normal in the northwest and warm at times in the south and east.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 10 Jun 2017 to Saturday 24 Jun 2017:

    Confidence is currently low through this period, though we are more likely to see changeable conditions continue through the early part of June. More settled weather may begin to dominate for a time towards the middle of the month, mainly in the south, bringing some drier and brighter weather. Temperatures are likely to be close to normal at first, but may become generally warm, perhaps locally very warm for a time during mid June. By the latter part of the month, there is a possibility of more unsettled conditions developing once more, with spells of rain at times, and temperatures returning closer to average.
