    A rather cloudy morning with patchy rain, the east and south seeing the best of any brightness. During the afternoon more persistent, occasionally heavy rain edges east. Mainly light winds. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Remaining unsettled with showers or outbreaks of rain, the best of any sunshine expected east of Glasgow with the west prone to more persistent spells of rain. Windy on Monday.

    England and Wales will be mostly dry and breezy with sunny spells. Some heavy showers are likely in Scotland and the north of England, continuing into the evening. More prolonged rain will affect western Scotland later in the day.


    England, Wales and eastern Scotland will have a mostly dry and clear night after a sunny evening. Western Scotland, Northern Ireland and northwest England will have occasional rain or showers.


    Friday will be dry and bright for most, with warm sunny spells in the southeast. Cloud will affect the northwest, with rain or showers for Northern Ireland and western Scotland.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    The weekend will be dry, bright and warm for most, but with showers in the northwest, spreading across England on Sunday. Monday will be windy, with rain in the northwest.

    UK Outlook for Monday 28 Aug 2017 to Wednesday 6 Sep 2017:

    On Monday, a band of thick cloud some outbreaks of rain and strong winds are likely to spread eastwards across the country. The rain will be heaviest in the NW and it may remain dry and warm in the southeast, although there is a small risk of one or two thundery showers continuing. Into next week, we are likely to see unsettled conditions, with spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest. It will be drier in general across the southeast, although there is a risk of some thundery showers here at times. There may be a longer spell of more settled weather in early September. Temperatures will probably be near normal, though perhaps warm at times in the south.
