Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 27 Sep 2016 to Thursday 6 Oct 2016:

Wet and windy weather, with gales in the northwest, will move southeast across the UK on Tuesday. Remaining windy on Wednesday with sunshine and showers, heavy and thundery at times, most frequent in the north. Thereafter changeable conditions look most likely to continue, with spells of rain interspersed by drier and brighter interludes and showers. Northwestern parts should see the wettest and windiest weather with a risk of gales, whereas southeastern parts should see the best of the drier and brighter weather, though even here some rain and brisk winds look likely at times. There is a chance of a more settled spell early October, mainly across the south, but confidence in this is low. Temperatures around or slightly below normal for the time of year, with some chilly nights.

UK Outlook for Friday 7 Oct 2016 to Friday 21 Oct 2016:

There is currently very low confidence in the details through October, however the most probable scenario is for a continuation of changeable weather. Bands of rain are likely to cross the country with stronger winds at times, these intermixed with some drier episodes. Northwestern parts should see the wettest weather and stronger winds, with southeastern parts favoured for the best of the drier weather. That said, there is a chance that quieter periods of weather may develop across much the UK at times. Temperatures probably averaging out near normal, though during any colder spells overnight frosts becoming increasingly likely, mainly in the north.
