UK forecast for the next 5 days

    A lot of rain

Long outbreaks of heavy rain will continue in Scotland and especially in the north of England during the morning, and rain will affect most of the UK by the afternoon. Northern Ireland will become brighter though with heavy showers later.

Rain will intensify in eastern and south-eastern England during the evening and spread across the UK overnight, though it will be lighter and less continuous in Scotland and Northern England.

Tomorrow will bring more spells of sometimes heavy rain, and only occasional drier and brighter spells, except in Scotland and East Anglia where rain will be less prevalent.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

More rain is likely on Thursday and Friday and it will feel rather cool. The north and west will become much more windy. Saturday looks like being drier for many.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Jul 2017 to Tuesday 11 Jul 2017:

Changeable on Sunday, with cloud and outbreaks of rain, along with heavy showers in the north. Breezy too, but there will be also some sunshine. More settled on Monday, with any showers confined to the far north. Changeable conditions will return thereafter, with showers or longer spells of rain, though there will be some drier and brighter spells too, most likely in the south and east. However, even here there is a risk of thunder at times. Showers are likely to be heavier in the northwest, perhaps turning thundery at times. Sometimes windy, especially in the north and west with the risk of local gales here. Temperatures are expected to stay near the seasonal average, occasionally warm in the east, but locally rather cool in the west.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Jul 2017 to Wednesday 26 Jul 2017:

The changeable weather is likely to continue in the north at first, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain, especially in the north, with only brief bright or sunny spells in between, with these most likely in the south. However, drier and warmer spells are likely to become more prevalent in the south and these may spread further north as we head into the second half of July.
