    Any isolated showers soon dying out this evening. Then mostly dry with variable amounts of cloud, perhaps a few light showers over the Galloway hills. A few fog patches are possible through the Central Belt. Becoming chilly across the Borders. Minimum Temperature 3°C.


    Fog slowly clearing through the morning to leave a mainly dry with some bright or sunny intervals. Quite mild. High cloud thickening in the west later. Maximum Temperature 16°C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Chance of a few showers across the east on Sunday, mainly dry across the southwest. Some patchy rain in the west Sunday night, then largely dry Monday and Tuesday.

    Northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland will remain cloudy with occasional outbreaks of rain and the odd shower may affect the far southeast of England. The rest of the UK will stay dry with clear spells and some fog patches.


    Cloudy in the far northwest with some patchy rain. Elsewhere, mostly dry and bright once any fog patches clear, although some isolated showers may affect the southeast later.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Mostly dry with patchy cloud and sunny spells, though breezy and feeling cooler. Occasional rain across north on Sunday clearing Monday, with scattered showers expected in the east on Tuesday.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 14 Oct 2015 to Friday 23 Oct 2015:

    Settled and mostly dry conditions are expected to dominate across the UK at first, with the sunniest weather expected across the west of the UK. Some isolated showers are possible however, and these are most likely across eastern parts. Temperatures are likely to be below average, especially in the south with a cool easterly wind. Increasing cloud looks set to spread from the north during Thursday, bringing a little rain to many parts before a return to more settled conditions on Friday. From the weekend onwards, most places will continue to see a good deal of dry weather with near-normal temperatures, although some cloudier interludes may bring rain at times, especially for the northwest of the UK.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 24 Oct 2015 to Saturday 7 Nov 2015:

    Things look uncertain for the end of October and into early November with a mixture of weather patterns across the UK. The most probable trend is for the northwest of the UK to see the bulk of any wet and windy weather, with the southeast drier and more settled. Temperatures look set to be rather cold compared to normal, especially at first.
