    All parts will be dry with some bright or sunny intervals, with a much brighter day to come across the Lothians and Borders. Light to moderate west or southwesterly wind. Maximum Temperature 19 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Chance of some showers over the weekend, some places staying dry. Isolated showers in the east on Monday, dry and bright in the southwest.

    Thundery showers across England and Wales at first will gradually die out from the west later this evening and overnight. Outbreaks of rain across northern Ireland will be heavy at times and will spread into northern Scotland overnight.

    Friday:

    Cloudy and breezy across northern and central Scotland with outbreaks of rain, but it should become dry later. Elsewhere it will be dry and warm with some sunshine.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Saturday and Sunday which could become heavy and prolonged across Wales and the Midlands. Some bright spells of Monday but also occasional showers.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 30 Aug 2016 to Thursday 8 Sep 2016:

    Outbreaks of rain are expected to spread into the north and west on Tuesday, but the south and east should stay mainly dry with sunny spells. The rain should move southeastwards during Wednesday and Thursday, but it is likely to become light and patchy. Temperatures will be warm in the southeast, but nearer normal temperatures in the northwest are likely to spread across all parts. The weather through the rest of the period is likely to be changeable with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed by some dry and brighter periods. The best of the brighter weather occurring in the southeast, with some wet and windy spells at times in the northwest. Temperatures will be generally near normal although there is the chance of some temporary warmer spells.
