UK forecast for the next 5 days

Many places dry and warm with plenty of sunshine.

Low cloud and patchy fog across eastern parts of England will soon lift and break, leaving most places warm and dry with long sunny spells. However, the far north of Scotland will turn cloudier with a little rain.

It will be chilly for many with clear periods, although probably somewhat cloudier across parts of northern and eastern Britain. A little rain is possible across the far north.

Warm and dry for most again but with a little more cloud around than recently. The best of the sunshine will be across western Britain.

Mostly fine on Thursday. More unsettled on Friday and Saturday, with fresher winds, outbreaks of rain and heavy showers at times. Some sunshine is still likely though.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 25 Apr 2015 to Monday 4 May 2015:

An unsettled weekend to come, with many parts seeing showers or longer spells of rain. Rain should clear southeastern areas later on Sunday morning leaving all parts in a brighter, showery, but cooler airmass, which will then dominate for much of the following week. Most regions will see outbreaks of rain or showers, some of these heavy, with a risk of thunder, and wintry, especially across the higher ground of the north. It will also be windier than of late, and this will accentuate the cold feel. As we move into early May, the changeable and at times, unsettled conditions are likely to continue, but with a tendency for rain to become more focussed towards the north and west, with the brightest conditions further south and east.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 5 May 2015 to Tuesday 19 May 2015:

The changeable and at times unsettled conditions that will become established during late April are likely to persist into mid May. Beyond this, there are no strong signals regarding likely weather types. As such, the most likely scenario is for weather conditions during this period to be fairly typical for the time of year with spells of fine and bright weather interspersed with more changeable conditions. Daytime temperatures are likely to be above average when conditions are fine and near or a little below average during changeable weather. As is common for the time of year, spells of settled weather are likely to be accompanied by chilly evenings with isolated overnight frost in rural areas.
