Persistent rain through today easing overnight and into tomorrow.

    Today:

    Tonight:

Rain will continue through this evening and overnight, turning persistent over the hills, before gradually easing in the south as winds ease. Minimum Temperature 11 °C.

Remaining rather cloudy through Thursday with overnight persistent rain gradually clearing to leave a drier afternoon, although there will still be some light rain in places. Feeling warmer. Maximum Temperature 19 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Some further outbreaks of rain through Friday, before an improving picture for the weekend as it turns drier and brighter with a keen westerly breeze, though some rain Saturday night.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Staying changeable with spells of rain, drier for the weekend.

Rain from today will gradually move northwards into Scotland, with some further outbreaks for Southwest England. Drier elsewhere but remaining largely cloudy with showers in the southeast possible.

    Thursday:

Drier with lighter winds for much of England and Wales, although thundery showers are possible later in the south. Windy in north with spells of rain, making it feel chilly.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Further rain for England Friday, but after a changeable week, it looks like the weekend will turn drier for many with some sunny spells, although some rain in the northwest.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Jul 2017 to Tuesday 11 Jul 2017:

Changeable on Sunday, with cloud and outbreaks of rain, along with heavy showers in the north. Breezy too, but there will be also some sunshine. More settled on Monday, with any showers confined to the far north. Changeable conditions will return thereafter, with showers or longer spells of rain, though there will be some drier and brighter spells too, most likely in the south and east. However, even here there is a risk of thunder at times. Showers are likely to be heavier in the northwest, perhaps turning thundery at times. Sometimes windy, especially in the north and west with the risk of local gales here. Temperatures are expected to stay near the seasonal average, occasionally warm in the east, but locally rather cool in the west.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Jul 2017 to Wednesday 26 Jul 2017:

The changeable weather is likely to continue in the north at first, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain, especially in the north, with only brief bright or sunny spells in between, with these most likely in the south. However, drier and warmer spells are likely to become more prevalent in the south and these may spread further north as we head into the second half of July.
