Cloud and patchy rain moving eastwards, clearing all but the far northeast during the day. Fresher and brighter conditions following in from the west. However, showers, perhaps thundery then spreading across Northern Ireland by the afternoon, reaching southwestern parts later.
Northeastern parts becoming drier overnight. Staying mostly dry elsewhere in the north and east, with clear spells. Further west, cloudy and windy with showers or longer spells of rain.

Many areas will be dry on Tuesday with some sunny spells but there is the chance of a few showers, especially in the east. Early on Wednesday, there is an increasing chance of cloud and rain spreading into western areas, accompanied by strengthening winds. Staying unsettled through the rest of the week as bands of rain continue to move in from the west, interspersed by brighter and showery interludes. Rain or showers could be heavy at times, especially in the northwest, with the driest weather further south and east. It will be windy at times with the risk of gales across the north, and often rather cool, especially in the west. This changeable weather is likely to continue into the start of August, especially in the north.
