    Sunny spells and scattered showers on Saturday, but cloudy with some rain on Sunday. Rain clearing on Monday followed by sunshine and showers. Windy Sunday and Monday. Becoming less cold.

    Rain and snow across central and southern Scotland and northern England will turn heavy and persistent then clear northwestern parts by dawn. Wintry showers in the north. Rain will clear to isolated showers across Wales and southern England overnight.


    Remaining unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, along with further snow, mainly over hills. Showers locally heavy with hail and thunder. Sunny spells too. Breezy and staying cold.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Sunshine and showers on Saturday. Rain and stronger winds will spread in from the northwest on Sunday, then will clear to blustery showers on Monday. It will become less cold.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 3 May 2016 to Thursday 12 May 2016:

    A mix of sunshine and blustery showers is expected on Tuesday, this clearing to persistent rain across northern and western parts on Wednesday and drier, brighter conditions further south. These unsettled conditions are likely to continue through the week and into the weekend with showers or longer spells of rain across northern and northwestern parts though some brief drier, brighter spells here. Southern and eastern parts still perhaps seeing more in the way of sunnier, warmer weather though still a risk of some rain at times. Into the following week, similar conditions continuing though decent dry periods likely too. Temperatures close to average for most, perhaps a little below at times still in the north and northwest and warmest in the south and southeast so feeling warmer than of late.

    UK Outlook for Friday 13 May 2016 to Friday 27 May 2016:

    Through the second half of May, the most likely scenario is for more unsettled weather across western and northwestern parts with showers or longer spells of rain though some brighter spells too. Southern and southeastern parts should see the best of the drier, brighter conditions, mainly through the start of the period, though perhaps a risk of rain later on. Temperatures are likely to stay near average, but it will feel warm on the sunnier days, especially in the south.
