    Rain in the south at first, sunshine and showers later.

    A dry start for most, with some bright spells also possible in the north, though one or two showers over the Pennines. Isolated showers will develop elsewhere for some during the afternoon, but staying dry for most. Light winds Maximum Temperature 16°C.

    Tonight:

    Becoming dry for many through the evening and overnight though the odd shower is likely to continue overnight in to Tuesday Minimum Temperature 9°C.

    Tuesday:

    Breezier on Tuesday, particularly around the coast, with sunny spells and a few scattered, locally thundery, showers likely to develop during the afternoon. Showers continuing overnight in to Wednesday Maximum Temperature 17°C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    A mixture of sunshine and showers are expected through to the end of the week. Windy on Wednesday and Thursday, particularly near the coast, before easing by Friday

    Today:

    Cloudy with, occasionally heavy, outbreaks of rain across central, southern and eastern England with a risk of thunder in the far southeast. Brighter in Wales and the far west later. Elsewhere, will see sunny spells with scattered, locally heavy, showers.

    Tonight:

    Cloud and rain gradually clearing eastern areas with scattered showers following, especially in the north and west. Turning windy in the east with a risk of coastal gales.

    Tuesday:

    Rather cloudy with some sunny intervals, the best of which in the south and southwest. Scattered showers, locally heavy, for some. Feeling cool, especially in strong winds in the east.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Cool northerly winds will bring sunshine and showers throughout, some heavy and locally thundery, mainly in the east. Chilly nights, especially in the west, with a touch of frost possible.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 5 Sep 2015 to Monday 14 Sep 2015:

    Saturday is likely to be quite cloudy and cool with a few showers, more especially in the north and east. Sunday remains on the cool side, but there should be more in the way of bright spells, with any showers becoming increasingly confined to the east. Into the following week settled conditions should become established across all parts, bringing mostly fine and dry weather, with some cool misty starts followed by sunny spells followed by spells of bright Autumn sunshine. Temperatures on the whole will be a little below average, although it will feel pleasantly warm in the sunshine with generally light winds. Overnight temperatures are likely to be on the chilly side, with a risk of some localised rural grass frosts, most especially in the north.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 15 Sep 2015 to Tuesday 29 Sep 2015:

    The second half of September is expected to start with generally fine and settled conditions, with plenty of dry and bright weather with some pleasant sunshine, and with only a brief spells of cloudier, wetter weather. Eventually a northwest to southeast split develops in the weather, with the southeast holding on to the best of the drier weather while the northwest sees occasional bouts of rain and strong winds. Temperatures will be generally close to average, but with some chilly nights, more especially in the north.
