    Outbreaks of rain clearing through the morning then mainly dry. Still quite cloudy but some brightness developing towards the Moray Firth coast. Remaining mild with freshening southwesterly winds. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Mild southwesterly winds will bring mostly cloudy weather with some occasional light rain over western coasts and hills. Brighter at times across the sheltered northeast.

    Largely cloudy with some outbreaks of light rain at times. Drier and brighter at times in the south and northeast. Mild in the northwest, cold in the southeast.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Jan 2017 to Monday 30 Jan 2017:

    The current week is set to end with a continuation of high pressure across the UK. The south east and central areas will tend to turn colder and brighter through the weekend, and this brings a risk of overnight frosts and fog. Into the next working week, more unsettled conditions are likely to spread into the far north and west which will bring some spells of rain at times here. The unsettled and at times windy conditions are likely to spread south and east through the week, which will bring milder conditions to all and outbreaks of rain at times across the country. The bulk of the rain is likely to be in the west.

    UK Outlook for Monday 30 Jan 2017 to Monday 13 Feb 2017:

    Looking ahead to the start of February the most likely scenario is that Atlantic low pressure systems will bring spells of wet weather to all at times, though these will be interspersed with drier and brighter interludes. Temperatures will generally be around average for this time of year, though it will turn milder again at times. However, there is possibility that an area of high pressure will become dominant again, especially into the second week of February, which could give colder, more settled conditions for all with the return of overnight frost and patches of freezing fog.
