    Any showers becoming confined to northern Argyll this evening and overnight. Otherwise dry with variable amounts of cloud and a few fog patches through the Central Belt. Minimum Temperature 5°C.


    Fog slowly clearing through the morning to leave a mainly dry with some bright or sunny intervals. Quite mild. Maximum Temperature 16°C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Mainly dry on Sunday, some rain likely in the northwest on Sunday night. Patchy rain, mainly in the north, dying out on Monday then fine by Tuesday.

    UK forecast for the next 5 days

    Cloudy with showers in the northwest. Dry and bright elsewhere.


    Northern Ireland, much of Scotland, and parts of northern England will be rather cloudy with occasional showers, and more persistent rain in the far northwest. Elsewhere, after a chilly start, fog will slowly clear, leaving plenty of sunny spells.


    Away from the far northwest and Northern Ireland where it'll remain cloudy with some patchy rain it will be a dry, largely clear night with mist or fog patches forming.


    The far northwest will remain fairly cloudy with further showers or longer spells of light rain. Elsewhere, apart from the odd shower it'll be mostly dry with some sunny spells.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Mostly dry with patchy cloud and sunny spells, but breezy and feeling cooler. Occasional rain across northern parts on Sunday clearing Monday, with showers expected in the east on Tuesday.

    Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 14 Oct 2015 to Friday 23 Oct 2015:

    Settled and mostly dry conditions are expected to dominate across the UK at first, with the sunniest weather expected across the west of the UK. Some isolated showers are possible however, and these are most likely across eastern parts. Temperatures are likely to be below average, especially in the south with a cool easterly wind. Increasing cloud looks set to spread from the north during Thursday, bringing a little rain to many parts before a return to more settled conditions on Friday. From the weekend onwards, most places will continue to see a good deal of dry weather with near-normal temperatures, although some cloudier interludes may bring rain at times, especially for the northwest of the UK.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 24 Oct 2015 to Saturday 7 Nov 2015:

    Things look uncertain for the end of October and into early November with a mixture of weather patterns across the UK. The most probable trend is for the northwest of the UK to see the bulk of any wet and windy weather, with the southeast drier and more settled. Temperatures look set to be rather cold compared to normal, especially at first.
