    Mainly dry and bright with sunny spells. A few light showers mainly on West Coast. Rain and strong southerly winds reaching Western Isles by early evening, extending eastwards to all parts later this evening. Gales developing western isles by dusk.. Maximum Temperature 20 °C.


    Staying cloudy with further rain at times, much of it over West Highlands and Western Isles. A mild night with strong southwest winds and gales possible over Outer Hebrides. Minimum Temperature 10 °C.


    Cloudy start with further outbreaks of rain. Rain dying out during morning and becoming brighter. Some sunshine in the afternoon with a few light showers. Windy, strong gusty southwesterly winds. Maximum Temperature 17 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Frequent showers on Saturday with strong to gale force westerly winds. Brighter on Sunday with fewer showers and strong northwest winds easing. Sunshine, a few showers and light winds Monday.

    Breezier and much cooler than yesterday. Rain for many overnight.


    Thunderstorms spreading eastwards across southern parts at first, brighter but fresher conditions following. A damp start for some elsewhere, but sunny spells developing later. Breezier and much cooler than yesterday for many. Turning wet and windy in the northwest later.


    Rain, locally heavy, and strong winds gradually sinking southeastwards across northern and central parts overnight. Southern counties, however seeing a drier night, with some clear spells.


    Many southern parts remaining dry and bright. Meanwhile, rain continuing southeastwards but becoming increasingly patchy. Brighter but showery conditions following into northern parts. Breezy, if not windy in the north.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Breezy on Saturday with showers likely for many. Drier and brighter for most on Sunday, though blustery showers possible in the north. Bright start Monday, but rain spreading east later.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 27 Jun 2017 to Thursday 6 Jul 2017:

    Changeable weather is likely to continue at the start of this period with rain on Tuesday clearing to sunshine and showers on Wednesday. These are likely to be heaviest in the north and northeast, where it may be windy at times, with the best of any drier spells likely in the south and southwest. The rest of this period will remain unsettled with further bouts of showery rain, perhaps heavy and thundery at times, interspersed with brief drier and brighter spells, these most likely in the east. It will often be windy, especially in the north and west where there is a risk of local gales at times. Temperatures will be near normal or rather cool, especially compared to recently, although it may be warmer at times in the southeast.

    UK Outlook for Friday 7 Jul 2017 to Friday 21 Jul 2017:

    The changeable weather is likely to continue at first, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain with only brief bright or sunny spells in between. However, drier and warmer spells are likely to become more prevalent during the second week of July and these may perhaps become more widespread as we head into the second half of the month. This will bring more in the way of sunshine and higher temperatures, with perhaps some very warm spells possible. However, an increase in temperatures also poses the threat of some thundery showers.
