Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Oct 2016 to Tuesday 11 Oct 2016:

Generally a brighter end to the weekend, with sunshine and a few showers on Sunday and lighter winds, though becoming cloudier and windier later as outbreaks of rain spread in from the west during the start of the week. Changeable conditions are then expected to continue through the remainder of the period bringing showers or longer spells of rain interspersed by drier and brighter periods. The heaviest and most persistent rain along with the stronger winds are likely to occur in the west and northwest, whereas eastern and southeastern parts should see more prolonged drier and brighter spells. Temperatures near normal at first, though soon rising to slightly above average and perhaps even warm at times in the southeast.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Oct 2016 to Wednesday 26 Oct 2016:

There is currently low confidence for the forecast during the second half of October, however the most likely scenario is a continuation of the more changeable conditions. The north and northwest is likely to see the most unsettled weather, with strong winds and showers or longer spells of rain, intermixed with some drier interludes. Further south and southeast there is a greater likelihood of drier, brighter weather with a low possibility of more prolonged settled spells here. Temperatures will vary through the period, but probably averaging out slight above average for the time of year, with an increasing risk of overnight frost in the more settled spells.
