    Showers dying out this evening to leave all parts with a dry night. Some misty low cloud developing across the far north, west coast and Speyside, but mainly clear elsewhere. Minimum Temperature 10 °C.

    Monday:

    Far north likely to stay cloudy, misty and cool. Elsewhere dry with plenty of sunshine, becoming warm especially in the southwest. Maximum Temperature 21 °C.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Mainly dry and bright on Tuesday. Rain moving east through Wednesday and Thursday with fresh southeasterly winds for a time.

    Today:

    Early fog patches and low cloud soon clearing to give a bright start. Cloud will soon bubble up to bring sunny spells and showers for many, possibly heavy at times. Cloudier with rain for eastern Scotland and northeast England.

    Tonight:

    Any daytime showers will fade away to leave a mostly dry night. Meanwhile, cloud and rain over eastern Scotland and northern England will sink further south. Chilly in the north.

    Monday:

    Cloud and rain will continue in eastern parts, becoming confined to the southeast during Monday. Feeling cool. Brighter with warm sunny spells elsewhere, with a few isolated showers possible.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Tuesday will be mostly dry with warm sunny spells. Cloud and rain arriving from the west during Wednesday, which should clear to sunshine and showers on Thursday. Some cooler nights.

    UK Outlook for Friday 28 Jul 2017 to Sunday 6 Aug 2017:

    After a dry start on Friday, rain will arrive from the west later heralding a rather unsettled spell of weather. Rain will slowly clear on Saturday, turning showery. Heavy showers and strong winds are most likely in the north west, with gales possible in exposed areas. The unsettled regime looks set to continue until early August with further frontal systems affecting the UK, interspersed with clearer or perhaps showery weather and some unseasonably windy conditions across many areas. Temperatures should be around normal to cool, with perhaps only the far south east seeing some warmer conditions at times, although there is low confidence on this. There are no signals for any significant change from these changeable conditions during the period.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 6 Aug 2017 to Sunday 20 Aug 2017:

    Changeable or unsettled conditions are likely at first with periods of rain interspersed with clearer or showery weather. There are some signals for high pressure to build which would allow for more settled conditions and rising temperatures. By the middle of August signals become mixed and confidence is low, however the preferred solution is for an Atlantic driven setup with the most unsettled conditions in the north west but drier in the south east.
