    Mainly dry with clear periods but there will be a few light showers, mainly near to the Aberdeenshire coast. Clear skies well inland will lead to a touch of frost. Minimum Temperature -1 °C.

    Friday:

    Mostly dry start with sunny spells. Clouds will build up during the morning with a few showers on the Aberdeenshire coast developing inland. A cooler day with light winds. Maximum Temperature 10 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    A lot of dry and bright weather with some sunshine and a few light showers. Turning milder with southeasterly winds strengthening on Sunday and Monday. Cooler along Aberdeenshire coast.

    A cloudier day with some rain, but also some brightness.

    Today:

    Starting cold, frosty but sunny across central and southern parts of England and Wales. Elsewhere, mostly cloudy with showery rain, occasionally heavy in northeast England later. However, some bright or sunny spells and lighter winds so generally feeling milder.

    Tonight:

    Showery rain will ease for most overnight, apart from a few showers continuing in the north and east. With clear spells it will turn cold, with patchy rural frost.

    Friday:

    Largely dry with bright or sunny spells especially at first. A few showers around the coasts and perhaps inland during the afternoon. Feeling pleasantly warm in sunshine and light winds.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Bank Holiday weekend will start largely dry and bright. However, becoming windier through Sunday and Monday with rain spreading up from the southwest, although drier across Scotland. Becoming warmer.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 2 May 2017 to Thursday 11 May 2017:

    Any showers on Tuesday should become lighter for many, but some may linger in the south east. Elsewhere it will be largely dry and bright, with some sunshine. Wednesday is likely to be dry with some sunshine for many, and temperatures next week are expected to be around average for early May, meaning we will lose the risk of overnight frosts. Then from Thursday onwards we are likely to see high pressure dominate. Easterly winds will develop, with largely dry and settled weather prevailing, and increasing amounts of sunshine. The settled weather is also likely to bring temperatures slightly above average, especially during the sunnier interludes, but it will feel cooler along eastern coasts, and there will be the risk of sea fog at times here too.

    UK Outlook for Friday 12 May 2017 to Friday 26 May 2017:

    Heading into the middle of May, continued dry and settled weather remains most probable. There may however be some occasional wetter interludes though, with the south most likely to see these. Temperatures are likely to remain above average for the time of year, and they will possibly become very warm at times. It will also continue to be drier than average.
