    Dry this morning with bright or sunny spells. This afternoon cloud will quickly increase, bringing outbreaks of rain from the west. The rain will become heavy at times, and also prolonged. The highest temperatures will be across eastern areas. Maximum Temperature 21 °C.


    Rain will become lighter before clearer away eastwards overnight. Drier conditions with broken cloud will follow. Becoming windy for a time along the south coast this evening. Minimum Temperature 10 °C.


    Some bright or sunny spells, mainly across eastern areas, before outbreaks of sometimes heavy rain arrive across western areas and then spread east. Feeling much cooler and becoming breezy. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Thursday mainly dry before cloud increases, then outbreaks of mostly light rain. Friday rain initially, then Friday afternoon and Saturday sunshine and isolated showers. Generally breezy with temperatures below average.

    Cloudy with rain for many, sunshine and showers further north.


    Dry and bright for most this morning, particularly in the east; however, rain and cloud will soon spread eastwards across Wales and England, turning heavy in places. Sunny spells and scattered heavy showers will continue across the north.


    Rain clearing eastwards leaving a mostly dry and clear evening with mist and fog patches. Showers in the north slowly easing before further rain reaches the west by dawn.


    Cloudy for many with outbreaks of rain, some heavy, moving north-eastwards through the day with northern parts of Scotland staying dry until later. Turning breezy along south-western coasts.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Rain pushing into the northwest on Thursday, staying mostly dry in the southeast. Turning cool on Friday and Saturday with sunny spells and showers, some heavy in the breezy north.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 2 Jul 2016 to Monday 11 Jul 2016:

    The changeable and often unsettled weather is likely to continue across most parts through this period. Bands of rain are expected to push eastwards across the country, these interspersed with drier and brighter periods, but also some showers, perhaps some heavy ones at times. The wettest weather is always more likely in the north and west where it will occasionally be windy too, whilst the south and east will see the best of any drier spells along with generally lighter winds. Temperatures on the whole are expected to be near, or somewhat below average for the time of year, but feeling cool more generally in the northwest in any wetter and winder spells. Conversely, it will feel warm in any drier and sunnier periods, especially in the south and east.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 12 Jul 2016 to Tuesday 26 Jul 2016:

    Changeable conditions are likely to persist at first, with rain or showers across many areas, particularly the north or northwest, and temperatures near average. Around the middle of July there is the possibility that a spell of more settled weather will develop, potentially bringing longer dry periods to much of the country. With this change there would be more in the way of sunshine with generally warm temperatures and lighter winds. However there is also the possibility of more humid continental air moving up across the southeast at times, bringing very warm temperatures and a risk of some thundery showers here.
