Regional forecast for London & South East England

Clear spells overnight allowing a frost to form in places.

    This Evening and Tonight:

Cloud will melt away to leave clear periods with light winds. This will allow temperatures to quickly fall, becoming chilly in rural locations, allowing a touch of frost to form in places. Remaining dry. Minimum Temperature 2 °C.

    Wednesday:

Dry with bright or sunny periods. The highest temperatures will be in and to the north of London, while a southerly breeze keeps the south coast noticeably cooler. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mainly dry. Becoming noticeably warmer inland, away from coastal areas where there is an increasing risk of sea fog arriving. Perhaps locally very warm Saturday, but with isolated thunderstorms possible.

    Wednesday:

A northwest/southeast split with cloudy conditions across northern England and rain for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Brighter for the rest of England and Wales with some warm sunshine.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Warm Thursday and Friday with sunshine away from eastern coasts. Cloud will increase for the northwest Saturday with outbreaks of rain, remaining sunny and warm elsewhere, with isolated thunderstorms possible.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 8 May 2016 to Tuesday 17 May 2016:

Rain across north-western parts on Sunday will clear through the day. Otherwise it is expected to be generally dry and warm or locally very warm with sunny spells into next week though a few isolated thunderstorms are possible each afternoon, mainly across England and Wales. There is also the chance of more persistent rain running into southern parts at times. Some eastern coastal areas may see more in the way of cloud and mist and so will feel cooler. During the weekend of the 14th and 15th and into the following week a change in conditions looks likely with temperatures falling nearer to normal and more in the way of cloud and rain for north-western parts. Conversely southern and southeastern parts may then see the best of the drier weather.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 18 May 2016 to Wednesday 1 Jun 2016:

At the start of this period we are likely to be seeing showers or longer spells of rain primarily affecting north-western parts but still interspersed with some drier and brighter spells. Southern and particularly southeastern parts are likely to be seeing the best of conditions though even here some rain is likely at times. Temperatures are likely to be near average overall, particularly in the northwest, but with some warm and sunny days likely.
