Regional forecast for London & South East England

Rather cloudy with a few showers possible.

    Today:

Rather cloudy, with a little rain possible in the south first thing, but many areas starting dry. Some limited bright or sunny intervals may develop later, perhaps sparking off one or two sharp showers, although most areas should remain dry. Maximum Temperature 21 °C.

    Tonight:

Remaining showers should die away to leave a largely dry but rather cloudy night in light winds. Some clear spells should develop towards dawn, mainly in the east. Minimum Temperature 11 °C.

    Friday:

Although on the cloudy side at times, a brighter and warmer day than on Thursday. Staying mainly dry, with sunny intervals perhaps allowing a few further heavy showers to develop. Maximum Temperature 24 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Saturday probably starting wet but brightening up later with some warm sunny spells developing. Bright and breezy Sunday, with further fine weather Monday as winds ease. Feeling warm.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Outbreaks of rain for many today.

    Today:

Rain across northern, western and some central parts today, gradually inching northwestwards through the day, allowing more in the way of drier interludes for some later. Further south and east, cloudy skies with some heavy showers possible. Windy for many.

    Tonight:

Staying windy in the north and west overnight, with outbreaks of rain continuing throughout the night. Remaining rather cloudy elsewhere with further patchy rain for some central parts.

    Friday:

Patchy rain slowly returning southeastwards across northern and western parts through Friday. Some brighter spells elsewhere, although some occasionally heavy, possibly thundery, showers developing too.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Rain clearing southeastern areas Saturday morning. Many places then having reasonable dry spells with some sunshine. More changeable further north, where windy at times. Warmer than recently in the northeast.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 4 Jul 2017 to Thursday 13 Jul 2017:

Many southern and eastern areas should start dry with sunny spells. However, a transition to more generally changeable conditions seems quite likely, with outbreaks of rain developing, this perhaps thundery across the south and southeast, where it could also become very warm for a time. Towards the following weekend and indeed the start of the week beyond this, there is much uncertainty in the forecast, but it looks as though southern and eastern areas of the UK will see the best of the drier, brighter weather. Further northwest, a more unsettled theme seems likely, where it could also be windy at times. Temperatures will probably pan out around average, with warmer spells in the southeast, but becoming cool at times in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Friday 14 Jul 2017 to Friday 28 Jul 2017:

Further changeable weather is likely at first, with some rain at times, but also drier, brighter interludes, these most likely across the south and east. However, dry and warm weather may soon become more prevalent in the south, with a more settled picture then developing quite widely across the UK, increasing the chances of seeing some higher temperatures once again. By the end of the month, we may see a return to more changeable conditions, though still with temperatures above average.
