Mist and fog clearing to sunshine and isolated showers Tuesday.

A murky start with mist and fog. This will gradually clear to give increased sunny spells, perhaps also isolated sharp showers, these more likely in the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 23C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Warm or very warm and largely dry through this period. Most should see murky starts give way to sunny spells, but with an increasing risk of showers, perhaps thundery.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Most places bright after a dull start. Staying cloudy northeast.

    This Evening and Tonight:

Any lingering showers will ease this evening and it will be dry for most with mist, low cloud and fog developing in clear spells overnight. It will stay cloudy in the northeast, with outbreaks of rain turning heavy at times.

Mist and low cloud will gradually break up, with warm sunny spells developing. Staying dry for many, but some isolated showers too. Heavier rain possible across the Northern Isles.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Many areas fine and becoming warm or very warm in the south. However generally cloudier with some rain in the northeast. Risk of scattered heavy, thundery showers in the south.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Sep 2014 to Monday 29 Sep 2014:

It is likely to remain largely dry and settled for most at first, but it may turn more unsettled from the northwest later in this period. The weekend should be fine for many with variable cloud and some sunny spells, although there is a risk of the odd heavy shower in the south on Saturday. It is likely to be warm too, although perhaps not quite as warm as on previous days. The fine weather should persist next week, feeling warm by day in sunny spells, but some cool nights are also likely. It may turn windy and more changeable in the north and west towards the end of that week, with an increasing risk of showers or spells of rain, but the south and east should remain mostly fine.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 30 Sep 2014 to Tuesday 14 Oct 2014:

The end of September and the first half of October is likely to see more changeable conditions across the UK, with a mixture of fine and settled weather, interspersed with occasional unsettled spells. The drier and brighter conditions, with some warm sunshine, is then expected to be most prolonged across the south and east, whilst outbreaks of rain would then be most frequent across the north and west. During the more settled conditions daytime temperatures are then likely to be around and often above average, although chilly overnight with a risk of fog patches in places. However during any unsettled spells daytime temperatures are then likely to be below or close to average.
