    It will become gradually drier overnight, but with some isolated showers maybe persisting through to dawn. Mainly cloudy away from the showers, with clear spells most likely in the west later in the night. Feeling cooler with light winds. Minimum Temperature 13 °C.


    A dry and sunny start, with cloud bubbling up through the morning to give a few showers. The showers will be mainly light, but may turn heavier through the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 23 °C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Sunshine and showers on Sunday. Mainly dry on Monday, with rain spreading east overnight. The rain then clearing east through Tuesday, but further outbreaks in the west later.

    Scattered showers, mainly in the north and east.

    This Evening and Tonight:

    A few showers will continue to affect northern and some eastern areas, with parts of northern Scotland having some more persistent rain overnight. Western, southwestern and central areas will become mostly dry during the evening and then remain dry overnight.


    Sunshine and scattered showers, some of which will become heavy across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. In the south the showers will be isolated, with many places remaining dry.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    There will be a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers, although an area of potentially heavy rain will transfer eastwards across southern areas later on Monday and into early Tuesday.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 3 Aug 2016 to Friday 12 Aug 2016:

    On Wednesday and Thursday potentially heavy rain is likely to affect most areas for a time before brighter, showery conditions follow from the west. These showery conditions should continue through the weekend, although southern and southwestern parts may become more settled for a while. Then as we head towards mid August the latest indications are that changeable conditions will prevail, with intervals of dry, sunny weather interspersed with periods of rain, showers and strong winds. Northwestern parts are likely to see the heaviest rain and strongest winds whereas the southeast should experience the best of the drier, brighter weather. Some large swings in temperature are likely, although overall it should average out at close to or slightly below normal for the time of year.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 13 Aug 2016 to Saturday 27 Aug 2016:

    The generally changeable conditions across the British Isles are likely to continue through mid to late August. Further spells of rain are expected to push in from the west, interspersed with drier, brighter and warmer periods, but also with some showers at times. Northern and northwestern parts should have the wettest weather, with the south and southeast seeing the lengthiest dry and fine spells. Some large swings in temperature remain likely, although overall it should continue to average out at close to or slightly below normal for August.
