Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 28 Jul 2016 to Saturday 6 Aug 2016:

Turning cloudier and more humid on Thursday with outbreaks of rain moving eastwards. This rain is likely to be heaviest in the west and northwest, especially over the hills, and winds will also strengthen in the west. These conditions probably clearing on Friday leaving fresher but showery weather for many. The remainder of the period is likely to stay rather changeable, with a mixture of showers or longer spells of rain and drier more settled interludes. The northwest should see the heaviest of the rain, whilst the southeast gets more of the drier and brighter weather. Temperatures look to be around average, but cooler at times in the northwest and occasionally warm and humid in the southeast.

UK Outlook for Sunday 7 Aug 2016 to Sunday 21 Aug 2016:

The strongest signal is for the weather across the UK to stay rather changeable throughout this period. There are likely to be warm and settled periods, but also bands of rain, along with spells of sunshine and showers. Most of the rain is likely to be in the north and northwest, with the south and southeast expected to see more of the drier and settled conditions. There is a small chance that a more prolonged spell of warm and settled conditions could develop for a time during mid-August, but confidence in this is current low. Temperatures will probably average out around normal, with some warmer and cooler days likely.
