Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 5 Feb 2015 to Saturday 14 Feb 2015:

The cold weather will continue through Thursday and Friday. There is likely to be a mixture of sunny spells and wintry showers, especially across northern parts and probably also to eastern areas, with widespread overnight frosts. There is a risk of more widespread rain and snow over western parts at this time too. From Saturday onwards, conditions are likely to become more influenced by the Atlantic, with temperatures gradually returning nearer to normal from the northwest, although the transition period will have the potential for further snow in places. Conditions will then remain changeable with unsettled periods of weather being interspersed by temporary settled conditions. Towards the middle of February there is a possibility that the more unsettled conditions will shift north, becoming more settled in the south.

UK Outlook for Sunday 15 Feb 2015 to Sunday 1 Mar 2015:

Whilst changeable Atlantic conditions will likely prevail at the start of the period, especially in the north, it currently looks most probable that a period of more settled weather will become established, at least for a time, across most parts of the UK with slightly drier, and colder conditions than average. Temperatures will be relatively cold across the UK, especially overnight, with frosts likely at times.
